Mohbad Management arranges candlelight as youths protest over his death

The late Nigerian musician, Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, has announced a candlelight procession and tribute night for the late artiste.

Mohbad, a former Marlian Records signee of Naira Marley, died last Tuesday at the age of 27.

Since Mohbad’s death, his music lovers and sympathizers have called for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding his demise.

On Monday night, the late singer’s management took to social media to say, “We appreciate the outpouring of love from Fans around the world to those who’ve organized events in their communities as a way to honor and pay respect to our shining light, we say thank you.” Join us for a candlelight procession and tribute concert in Mohbad.”

The candlelight procession will begin at 5 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023, from Lekki Phase 1 Gate, and the Tribute Concert will begin at 8 p.m. at Muri Okunola Park in Lagos State.

Some youngsters in the Panseke region of Abeokuta, Ogun state, have taken to the streets to seek justice for Mohbad’s killing.

The youngsters gathered in large numbers at the Skating Ground Arena, wearing black and carrying placards with messages such as #JusticeForMohbad and #Who off Light.
