Morocco Unveils U-20 AFCON Squad Ahead of Clash With Nigeria

As preparations intensify for the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, Morocco—one of Nigeria’s Group B rivals—has officially announced its 26-man squad for the tournament.
Head coach Mohamed Ouahbi has assembled a dynamic mix of homegrown players and Europe-based talent. Among the notable inclusions are Stade Rennais defender Abdelhamid Ait Boudlal and FC Twente centre-back Julien Misbahi, both expected to bring experience and solidity to the backline. Union Touarga’s in-form striker Mouad Dahhak, who has been a standout performer in Morocco’s Botola Pro 1 this season, also earns a well-deserved call-up.
Morocco will kick off their campaign against Kenya on Thursday, May 1, before facing group favourites Nigeria three days later in what promises to be a pivotal encounter.
The 2025 U-20 AFCON will be hosted by Egypt and runs from April 27 to May 18.
