In a significant development for Nigeria’s telecommunications industry, Vitel Wireless has become the first Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) in Nigeria to receive a mobile number series from the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The allocation of the 0712 mobile number series marks a key milestone in Nigeria’s advancing telecom sector.
Historically, the Nigerian MVNO market has been tightly regulated, with only a select few operators granted entry under strict licensing conditions.
