NDDC pledges completion of Rivers cardiovascular, orthopedic hospital

The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Samuel Ogbuku, has said that the commission will partner with medical experts to run its Regional Specialist Cardiovascular and Orthopedic Hospital, which is still under construction in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Ogbuku, who disclosed this after inspecting ongoing works at the hospital, gave an assurance that the project would be completed and fitted with the best medical equipment before the end of the year.

This was contained in a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Friday by the NDDC’s Corporate Affairs Director, Pius Ughakpoteni.

The NDDC MD, who was accompanied by the Executive Director, Projects, Victor Antai and other directors of the agency, was also noted to have said that the health facility would meet international standards. He said, “We need specialists who will work with us on this project.

“President Bola Tinubu has given us the mandate to complete all legacy projects for the people of the Niger Delta region, and we are committed to ensuring that we discharge our responsibility in this regard.”

He added that the NDDC would partner with specialists to put finishing touches to what was on the ground for proper services. According to him, they would bring people with international pedigree to run the facility.
