Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted a significant shipment of cocaine valued at several millions of naira and concealed in melon seeds and yam flour meant to be airlifted to the United Kingdom.
The NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, disclosed this information via his X account on Sunday, sharing a video of the intercepted contraband.
He wrote, “The unimaginable places #ndlea_nigeria officers find illicit drugs these days will make you cringe and be more careful when dealing with humans.
“In this video is cocaine worth millions, concealed in granulated pepper, melon seeds, yam flour, and other items, bound for the UK.”
The NDLEA continues to crack down on drug trafficking methods as part of its ongoing efforts to combat illicit trade.
