Ned Nwoko Refutes Chika Ike Pregnancy Rumors, Calls Claims ‘Baseless’

The silence has been broken! Ned Nwoko, the billionaire politician and husband of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has officially addressed the swirling rumors that he’s expecting a child with actress Chika Ike.

In a statement issued by his office and released on his social media handles on Monday, Nwoko described the rumors as entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculatio

The rumors began when a faceless blogger, Gistlover, stirred the pot with claims that Nwoko had been in an extra-marital affair with Chika Ike, and that she was pregnant with his child.

The reports sent shockwaves across social media, especially after Regina Daniels deactivated her Instagram account, adding fuel to the fire. Fans, celebrities, and even Nollywood actor Yul Edochie quickly took to the internet, sharing their own thoughts and reactions.

However, in a statement posted to his Instagram, Ned Nwoko firmly denied the allegations. He called the rumors “entirely baseless” and “a product of malicious speculation.”

He also refuted claims that he made statements regarding singer Tuface Idibia and polygamy, labeling such reports as completely untrue.

The statement reads:
Our attention has been drawn to the recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant for him. We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation.”

He also mentioned that, as a public figure, such rumors were bound to arise, especially with his wife, Regina, also being an actress. Despite the drama, Nwoko reassured the public that he is currently focused on his political duties and has no time for distractions.

The statement continued:

Senator Nwoko is currently on a national assignment, focused on delivering on his political mandate, and has no time for distractions. This office remains available to journalists for verification of information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.”

As expected, the statement generated plenty of buzz in the comments section. Social media users weren’t holding back with their reactions:

  • fear_god__.__ said, “Who you come leave her for? Better marry her, sir. We are all behind you, pls do the needful and remain blessed. 😂”
  • jessicamacson joked, “It’s true true, Chika Ike born for Pa Ned, we’ll know unless she doesn’t show her baby face… Pa Ned’s gene strong.”
