NIDO Africa To Engage With The Nigeria Immigration Service To Address Diasporans’ Passport Renewal Challenges
Nigerians In Diaspora Organization (NIDO), Africa has underlined its dedication towards the promotion of unity in diversity and to work collaboratively with critical stakeholders to achieve a more inclusive and harmonious society.
Chairman of NIDO Africa, Jude Osakwe, who made the emphasis during a press briefing in Abuja says the Organization is committed to creating opportunities for Nigerians in diaspora to invest in Nigeria.
“NIDO Africa will be dedicated to fostering connections between Nigerians living abroad and their home country by creating a network of investment opportunities.
‘NIDO Africa will aim to empower individuals to not only increase their financial wealth, but also to make a meaningful impact in their home country.
“The organization recognizes the potential for diasporans to be a powerful force for change, and is committed to providing the tools and resources necessary to facilitate this transformation.”
The newly elected Chairman while reeling out key initiatives that NIDO Africa will spearhead, assured that the era of passport renewal challenges for Diasporans is over, just as he added that NIDO Africa would help facilitate the stimulation of economic growth in Nigeria.
“NIDO Africa will also push for better tax rebates and exemptions for Nigerian entrepreneurs, particularly those involved in the exportation of Made in Nigeria goods.
“By making it more financially feasible for entrepreneurs to do business in Nigeria and promote Nigerian products on the global stage, we hope to stimulate economic growth and create more opportunities for Nigerians both at home and abroad.
“NIDO Africa, will aim to address the passport renewal challenges faced by diasporans. We will engage with the Nigeria Immigration Service to streamline the process and make it easier for Nigerians living abroad to renew their passports.
“By working closely with the Nigeria Immigration Service, we will advocate for further improvements in the passport renewal system, including faster processing times, clearer application guidelines, and better communication with applicants. It is hoped that every Nigerian living abroad will have access to a valid passport without much stress.
Also speaking, the first black Chairman of the Conservative Party in the United Kingdom, Mercy Gilbert, restated her desire to attract investments in tourism, infrastructure, agriculture and renewable energy to Nigeria.
“We are looking forward to partnering with Nigeria in sport and tourism. Since October, I have been working on a project in Delta state which is to promote women empowerment. I am an Ambassador and the chairperson for the UK on Women Empowerment.
“This project is particularly to stop human trafficking and encourage women into enterprise, because women are the bedrock of the society.
“If you educate women you are educating a village. We are also interested in working in partnership with women organisations in creating employment and jobs,”Gilbert, the Consultant for African British Business Forum enthused.
NIDO Africa calls on all and sundry to join forces with a view to creating a brighter future for Africa, where every individual has a voice and a seat at the table.
The Organisation will be involved in the upcoming Meet Africa Fashion Festival in Asaba, Delta State.
An event which showcases the talent and creativity of African designers, highlighting the rich culture and heritage of the African continent.
