Nigerian Stars All Crash Out Of The Grammys

Afrobeat Sensations Burna Boy, Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Olamide were looking to win the Grammy award after being nominated for diverse categories but to no avail.
It was a night that left a blow on Nigerians.
Davido, Burna Boy, Ayra Starr, Asake, and Olamide were all hoping to win their first Grammy award after being nominated for the Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Global Album Performance.
The Nigerian Superstars lost the Best African Music category to Tyla’s ‘Water’, Best Global Music Performance to ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia, and Best Global Album to Shakti’s ‘The Moment’.
Burna Boy on his part was in contention to win his second Grammy award after he was nominated for the Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, Best Global Album Performance, and Best Melodic Rap Performance.
The Nigerian megastar failed to win any of his four nominations as well.
He lost the Best Melodic Rap Performance to Lil Durk’s ‘All My Life’ feat J Cole and the other three categories as listed above.
This has left the majority of Nigerians furious.
