The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has confirmed that its services for National Identification Number (NIN) enrolment, verification, and data modification are operating smoothly as the September 14, 2024 deadline for NIN-SIM linkage approaches.
In a recent statement Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC Kayode Adegoke, assured the public that over 10,000 enrolment centres across Nigeria and internationally are available for NIN services. He urged Nigerians and legal residents to visit these centres to ensure they are issued their NIN in time for the deadline.
The statement emphasized that NIMC is committed to a seamless process for NIN enrolment and data modifications, and reminded the public that these services are provided free of charge.
It also highlighted that any issues related to extortion or unethical practices should be reported to NIMC through the NIMC website at www.nimc.gov.ng.
