
The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU) has officially expelled Goddy-Mbakwe Chimamaka Precious for her involvement in an assault on a lecturer from the Department of Theater and Film Studies.
This decision was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday by the Acting Registrar, Victor Modebelu. The statement noted that the Acting Vice-Chancellor had received a report from the Student Disciplinary Committee regarding the student’s actions. Following the Committee’s findings, Chimamaka was deemed guilty of gross misconduct, specifically violating Regulation 4 of the University’s Students Disciplinary Regulations.
The statement further explained that, based on the Committee’s recommendation, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of the University Senate, approved the expulsion. The expulsion marks the end of Chimamaka’s academic journey at the institution.
This disciplinary action highlights the university’s commitment to upholding its regulations and maintaining a safe and respectful environment for both staff and students.
