The Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Olayide Adelami, has exercised his civic responsibility by casting his vote in the ongoing election at his polling unit in Owo Local Government Area.
At approximately 9:40 AM, Adelami arrived at his designated polling station, located at Igboroko 2, Ward 3, Unit 16, where he joined a queue of voters waiting for accreditation. After completing the accreditation process, the Deputy Governor proceeded to cast his ballot, accompanied by members of his immediate family, who were also participating in the election.
In a brief interaction with journalists following his vote, Adelami emphasized the importance of voting as a means for citizens to actively contribute to the democratic process.
He urged the people of Owo, as well as the entire electorate in Ondo State, to come out in large numbers to exercise their right to vote. “Your vote is your power,” Adelami stated, urging the residents to recognize the significance of their participation in shaping the future of their state.
He further stressed that by voting, the people would not only be fulfilling their civic duty but also helping to strengthen good governance and promote progress in Ondo State. “By coming out to vote, you are making a direct contribution to the development and betterment of our society. It is through your active participation that we can continue to move towards a greater Ondo State,” Adelami concluded. His call was a reminder of the vital role that every voter plays in ensuring a more prosperous and accountable government.
