Ondo monarch dies at 102

The Owa of Idanre Kingdom, Oba Frederick Aroloye, has passed away at the age of 102.

He reigned for 42 years after ascending the throne in 1976.

The Lisa of Idanre Kingdom, Chief Christopher Akindolire who confirmed the death of the first-class traditional ruler on Wednesday  disclosed that preparations for the necessary traditional rites are already taking place in the palace.

He explained that the paramount ruler, who had been off activities for a long time in the community, joined his ancestors after a brief illness.
