The Osun State Government has expressed its readiness to support indigenes of the state living in the diaspora who are interested in bringing their investments back home.
The government further assured that those willing to invest in rural communities would benefit from a business-friendly environment, enhanced security, and robust infrastructure, which would enable them to succeed with ease.
This announcement was made by the State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Abiodun Ojo, following a tour of the Prinaj Resort and Suites, a 35-room hotel located in Ere-Ijesha, Osun State. The facility, which boasts modern amenities such as an elevator, a swimming pool, a 1500-capacity hall, and a lawn tennis court, has significantly boosted economic activities in its host community.
Commissioner Ojo praised the Chairman of Prinaj Group, Professor Wole Ajifolokun, a US-based academic, for his contributions to job creation and his role in supporting the state government’s efforts to empower local youth. He assured that the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke is committed to collaborating with both local and international investors who are eager to create jobs through their investments in Osun State.
“We are dedicated to creating an ecosystem that supports tourism and cultural development,” Ojo said. “This includes improving road networks leading to tourist destinations, as accessibility is a key factor in driving tourism growth. Jobs are being created, the local economy is being stimulated, and the community is benefiting from these efforts.”
Ojo emphasized that the government will continue to provide a conducive environment for investors, ensuring that their investments thrive. “I am impressed with this facility, and the government is committed to assisting in its profitable operation in any way possible,” he added.
