Paris Olympics: German Team Lends Bicycle To Nigerian Cyclist

Nigerian cyclist Ese Lovina Ukpeseraye has narrated how she was offered a bicycle by the German team to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ukpeseraye made history as the first Nigerian cyclist at the Olympics. She competed in the women’s road race but did not register a score after failing to complete the event.

While she later took part in the Keirin and Sprint cycling event, ending sixth in the first round, the 25-year-old narrated how the German team offered her a bicycle for the race.

#Paris2024@Paris2024
Due to the short notice of me competing at the keirin & Sprint, #teamNigeria I had no bicycle to race with on the tracks. In d spirit of sportsmanship the German team @bunddeutscherradfahr came to my rescue by offering me a bicycle.
Thank you🙌🙌🙌 https://t.co/OZf8tPZ3gS pic.twitter.com/AyrtQqrCe7

She will be competing in one more event on Friday.
