PDP crisis: BoT holds emergency meeting

The Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is holding an emergency meeting at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.

This meeting was convened in response to the ongoing leadership crisis that has been plaguing the party. One of the key topics for discussion is the series of court judgments surrounding the dispute over the National Secretary’s position, which has caused significant division within the party.

Prominent figures who have arrived for the meeting include the BoT Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, and BoT Secretary, Senator Ahmed Makarfi.

Other notable attendees include former Governors Achike Udenwa, Sam Egwu, Babangida Aliyu, Senator Ben Obi, and Chief Olagunsoye Oyinlola, among others. These individuals are expected to engage in discussions that aim to find a lasting solution to the crisis.

Beyond addressing the leadership dispute, the BoT members will also deliberate on the future direction of the party. Despite the internal challenges, there will be a focus on finding ways to ensure the party moves forward and remains strong in the face of these ongoing issues.

The outcome of this meeting is likely to have a significant impact on the PDP’s ability to navigate the current political landscape.
