The National Pension Commission announced that pension fund assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) have climbed to an impressive N20.79 trillion as of July 2024.

This significant growth was revealed by Acting Director General Omolola Oloworaran during the Quarterly Consultative Forum for state and Federal Capital Territory pension bureaus in Lagos.

Oloworaran noted that states have collectively contributed over N236.7 billion from January 2020 through the second quarter of 2024. “Pension fund assets under the CPS continue to expand, with total Assets under Management now standing at N20.79 trillion as of July 2024,” he stated.
