Police Arrest Portable After 72-Hour Ultimatum

Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola popularly known as Portable has been arrested by officers of the Ogun state police command.

The ‘Zazoo Zeh’ crooner was arrested on Friday following the expiration of the 72-hour ultimatum given to him to turn himself in.

The state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the singer is currently detained at the state headquarters of the police in Eleweran, Abeokuta.

On Wednesday, Portable was given a three-day ultimatum to report himself to the police.

This was after the singer resisted attempts by the police to arrest him and also referred to himself as “a federal government liability”.

The state police spokesperson said the arrest warrant became necessary after Portable refused to honour the police invitation on several occasions.
