In a significant move to bolster the administrative framework of the federal civil service, President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of eight new permanent secretaries. This announcement was made on Friday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
According to Ngelale, the new appointees were selected following a meticulous and thorough selection process aimed at ensuring the best candidates were chosen to fill the existing and impending vacancies in various states and geo-political zones.
“The President anticipates that the new Federal Permanent Secretaries will exercise absolute dedication, diligence, and fidelity to the nation in the discharge of their functions and ensure optimum service delivery to the Nigerian people,” Ngelale stated.
The newly appointed permanent secretaries and their respective regions are:
- Emanso Umobong Okop (Akwa-Ibom)
- Obi Emeka Vitalis (Anambra)
- Mahmood Fatima Sugra Tabi’a (Bauchi)
- Danjuma Mohammed Sanusi (Jigawa)
- Olusanya Olubunmi (Ondo)
- Keshinro Maryam Ismaila (Zamfara)
- Akujobi Chinyere Ijeoma (South-East)
- Isokpunwu Christopher Osaruwanmwen (South-South)
