President Bola Tinubu and his delegation arrived in Cape Town, South Africa, late Monday to attend the 11th session of the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission (BNC).
Upon arrival, Tinubu was warmly welcomed by Roland Lamola, South Africa’s Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, as well as Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
During the session, President Tinubu is set to engage in high-level discussions with President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa. The BNC deliberations will cover a wide range of key topics, including political consultations, consular and migration matters, banking and finance, defence and security, manufacturing, social sector issues, energy, mining, and trade and investment.
The Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission, established in 1999, aims to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations, providing a platform for addressing bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
