President Bola Tinubu has taken a firm stance against ransom payments for the safe return of abducted children from Kuriga in Kaduna State.
This declaration was made during today’s Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Addressing State House Correspondents following the FEC session, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Muhammad Idris, relayed President Tinubu’s directive emphasizing the importance of rescuing the children without succumbing to ransom demands.
The President reiterated his unwavering commitment to ensuring the safe return of the abducted children to their families.
Furthermore, President Tinubu reaffirmed the government’s resolve to combat kidnapping and other criminal activities plaguing the nation.
He underscored that his administration will not tolerate any form of kidnapping, particularly mass abductions.
The President’s stance against ransom payments aligns with the government’s broader strategy to address the scourge of kidnapping and enhance security across the country.
