President Bola Tinubu is set to welcome Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a state visit at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Sunday.
According to Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the leaders will sign Memoranda of Understanding aimed at enhancing collaboration in critical sectors.
Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to arrive on Saturday, marking a significant moment in the diplomatic relationship between Nigeria and India. During their bilateral discussions, Tinubu and Modi will seek to further strengthen the ties between their nations.
This visit is particularly noteworthy as it will be the first by an Indian prime minister to Nigeria since Manmohan Singh’s visit in 2007, when the two countries established a strategic partnership.
