Prestige Assurance Plc has said its renewed focus on the retail business to reach more customers and boost its business.
This was disclosed by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Rajesh Kamble, at the company’s 54th annual general meeting held in Lagos recently.
Kamble said that the company had been able to withstand the challenging operating environment to report a profit before tax of N1.40bn at the end of the financial year 2023 compared to 2022.
He added, “Our objective is to continue actively managing our portfolio by sharpening our strategic focus on retail businesses through developing new products to suit the retail market.
“Creating ever closer and deeper relationships with our customers at every stage of their business—support that starts earlier—reflects their values and meets their changing needs through personalised engagements with our customers. Also, our customers are spending more time on digital platforms, so we need to ensure our services are embedded into our customers’ daily lives.
“Respond quickly to any new and emerging social, commercial, and economic trends that are shaping the future of our customers’ financial lives. Also, we will work hard to spend wisely and maintain our lean culture. We understand the importance of continually reinforcing a cost-conscious culture.”
In her comments, the Chairman of the firm’s Board of Directors, Funmi Oyetunji, expressed confidence in the ability of the firm to deliver superior returns to shareholders.
