Despite interest from Premier League teams Chelsea, Arsenal, and Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain is leading the race to sign Victor Osimhen. The Il Corriere dello Sport claims
Osimhen’s €130 million release clause is reportedly drawing closer to PSG, according to an Italian media outlet, who views the Nigerian international as the best option to replace Kylian Mbappé, who is set to join Real Madrid.
Osimhen has recently signed a contract extension until 2026, but it includes a €130m clause and Napoli are prepared to part company with the 2022-23 Serie A leading scorer at the end of the season.
Il Corriere dello Sport highlights that PSG and Napoli already completed several deals in the past.
Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani moved to Paris in 2012 and 2013, respectively, for a combined €95m transfer fee.
Also, Fabian Ruiz signed for the Ligue 1 giants in 2022 for €23m.
