Sanwo-Olu signs Lagos 2025 N3.37tr budget into law

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Thursday, signed the 2025 budget of N3.366trn into law following the presentation to the state House of Assembly on November 21.
The governor gave his assent at the State House, Alausa, Ikeja following the State House of Assembly passage of the appropriation Bill on January 6.
Tagged ‘Budget of Sustainability,’ the budget aims to address infrastructure, economic diversification, and other critical sectors in the state.
The approval followed the presentation of a report on the budget by the Chairman of the Joint Committee on Appropriation and Finance, Hon. Sa’ad Olumoh, and the subsequent voice votes by lawmakers at a sitting presided over by Speaker Mudashiru Obasa.
The signing scheduled to take place at Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, will set the stage for the full implementation of the budget, which is the biggest by any of Nigeria’s 36 sub-nationals.
The Lagos 2025 budget has N1.29trn recurrent expenditure component, and N2.07 trillion as capital expenditure.
Sanwo-Olu enjoined residents to join hands and support his administration to get the best of the budget for the good of all.
