South Korean Intelligence Reveals North Korea Sends More Troops to Russia Amid Ukraine Conflict

On Thursday, South Korea’s intelligence agency reported that North Korea has deployed additional troops to Russia, although the exact size of the contingent remains unclear.
These troops are said to be stationed in the Kursk region, a key battleground where Russian forces are facing off against Ukrainian troops who have advanced into western Russia.
While the National Intelligence Service (NIS) has yet to provide detailed comments on the deployment, the move underscores the ongoing military collaboration between Russia and North Korea. Previously, the NIS reported that North Korea had already sent over 11,000 soldiers to support Russian forces in their war against Ukraine.
In addition to troop deployments, there have been claims from Ukrainian and Western sources suggesting that Russia has also utilized North Korean weapons in the conflict.
However, North Korea has not officially confirmed its involvement in the war or acknowledged its support for Russia’s military operations.
As the situation continues to unfold, the involvement of North Korea in the Ukraine war remains a key point of international concern, adding a complex layer to the ongoing conflict.
