Tambuwal Pledges PDP Will Reclaim Mandate in 2027 as Ramadan Aid Distribution Kicks Off in Sokoto

Former Sokoto State Governor and current Senator, Aminu Tambuwal (Mutawallen Sokoto), has vowed that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will reclaim its mandate from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 general elections. He made this pledge on Monday during the flag-off of the Ramadan package distribution aimed at assisting the people of Sokoto State.

The initiative, which will benefit over 30,000 households across the state, is designed to alleviate hardships, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. Tambuwal explained that this distribution is in addition to the efforts of PDP lawmakers, both at the state and federal levels, who have provided thousands of food items, including bags of rice and other essential grains, to youth and women-led organizations across the state.

Tambuwal expressed gratitude to Allah for the grace to witness another Ramadan, despite the many lives lost. He also acknowledged the support and hard work of party leaders and members in Sokoto, particularly the party chairman, for their tireless efforts in mobilizing the people and keeping the party strong.

Speaking on the PDP’s future, Tambuwal emphasized that the party remains united and is already restructuring and strategizing to reclaim the mandate they believe was “forcefully stolen” in the last elections. He promised the gathering, “By the grace of Allah, what was taken from us will be returned in 2027.”

Additionally, the Chairman of the PDP in Sokoto State, Bello Goronyo, praised party members for their consistent support and loyalty. Goronyo criticized the current government for the hardships Nigerians are facing, stating that such difficulties did not exist during the PDP’s time in power. He called on the people of Sokoto and Nigerians at large to free themselves from what he termed the “mis-governance” of the APC in the 2027 elections.

The event reflected the PDP’s determination to regain political ground and provide relief to the people, especially as they prepare for the upcoming election cycle.
