Tesla Set to Launch Full Self-Driving Feature in China Following Software Approval

Tesla has announced that it will soon roll out its highly anticipated Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature in China, following the completion of regulatory software approvals.

The announcement, shared through Tesla’s customer support Weibo account, comes after speculation and confusion among Chinese social media users regarding the delayed free trial of the FSD service, which was originally set for March 17 to April 16.

This delay followed new regulations from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which introduced stringent requirements for over-the-air software updates related to autonomous driving.

These new rules mandate that such updates undergo official regulatory scrutiny before they can be deployed.

With the software now approved, Tesla is poised to deliver the FSD feature to Chinese drivers, marking a significant step in the company’s expansion of autonomous driving technology in one of the world’s largest automotive markets.
