Veteran actor Segun Arinze has revealed how his acting career came to an end and why he decided to leave the industry.
Arinze in a recent interview discussed his success in the Nollywood movie Silent Night (1996), which helped him become famous for his depiction of Black Arrow.
He also discussed how portraying himself as a “bad boy” in movies ruined his mental health and forced him to give up acting.
“There was a time I took a hiatus from acting when people were casting in that mold of bad boy, bad boy and it began to affect my psyche and all that.”
He also spoke about his divorce from the popular actress, Anne Njemanze.
“I stayed out of marriage after the first one collapsed. I stayed out for like 12 years before I remarried,” he said.
