Terem Moffi has won the UEFA Europa Conference League Goal of the Season prize.
According to UEFA’s Technical Observer Panel, Terem Moffi’s remarkable acrobatic goal has been awarded the prestigious UEFA Europa Conference League Goal for the 2022/23 season.
The striker scored the acrobatic goal during OGC Nice’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Basel in April.
The superb strike was also at the time adjudged the Best Goal of the Week.
The 23-year-old is the first Nigerian to achieve the feat in the competition.
Moffi’s international teammate Samuel Chukwueze came fourth.
Chukwueze’s impressive, volleyed strike in Villarreal’s 4-3 win against Bulgarian club, Lech Poznan, on match-day one was nominated.
Erdoğan Yeşilyurt, Riccardo Saponara and Christian Kouamé came fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Jarrod Bowen, Declan Rice and Andy Diouf completed the Top 10 finishing eighth, ninth and 10th in that order.
