Veteran Actress Shan George Appeals for Help After Bank Account Was Emptied of N3.6 Million
Renowned Nollywood actress Shan George has taken to social media to seek urgent assistance after her Zenith Bank account was allegedly drained of N3.6 million by an individual identified as Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro.
In a distressing Instagram post shared on Friday, the actress shared a screenshot of the debit alert, expressing her desperate situation. “I need help cos I’m dy!ng. This person has just cleared my account,” she wrote, pleading for assistance. “Pls my pple, everyone pls help. Pls Zenith Bank, Reverse it. I can’t access my app. I’m De@D.”
Accompanying her written plea, George also shared a video on her Instagram account, visibly distraught as she detailed the alleged incident. “Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro, that is the name of the person that has just wiped all the money in my account, 3.6 million into an Opay account,” she emotionally appealed. “I am begging everybody, please Zenith Bank, Opay, Abeg make una help me. I take God beg una.”
Expressing her dire circumstances, George continued, “I don’t have any kobo anywhere again, what will I eat? I no fit beg, I beg una, make una help me.” Urging relevant authorities to intervene, she implored, “EFCC, Nigerian police, abeg, I don’t know the authorities, Zenith bank, I am begging you people.”
The actress emphasized the urgency of her situation, stressing that the incident occurred mere hours before she recorded the video. “It’s just today, 3rd of May, it’s not even up to an hour ago from now that I am doing this video,” she lamented.
The distressing appeal from the veteran actress has sparked widespread concern and calls for swift action to address the alleged fraudulent activity.
