Victor Osimhen has revealed how difficult leaving Napoli will be for him if he does so this summer.
It is commonly expected that the Nigeria international will depart Napoli this summer, however his next destination is unknown.
Osimhen’s deal, which was inked last December, reportedly has a €130 million release clause.
The striker has become a beloved figure among Napoli fans, earning cult hero status after playing a crucial part in their championship victory last season.
He scored an impressive 26 goals in 32 league matches, helping Napoli secure their first title in over 30 years.
In a recent interview, Osimhen expressed his admiration for Napoli’s fans, describing them as some of the best in the world.
He admitted that leaving the club would be a tough decision for him.
“For me, it’s a fantastic feeling, in some clubs it’s the history that creates the identity, in Naples it’s the fans who make the team what it is.
“The way they support the team and each player is truly incredible,” he said in an interview with Betsson Sport.
“Now I understand why some legends of the past cried when they left Naples because it is an extraordinary emotion to play in the stadium and hear your name shouted from the first minute to the 90th.”
Osimhen has been heavily linked with a move to either French giants Paris Saint-Germain or Chelsea.
