Zamfara Governor Condemns Tragic Fire at Almajiri School, Offers Condolences to Victims’ Families

Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has expressed his profound condolences to the families of the 17 students who tragically lost their lives in a fire that broke out at an Almajiri school in the Kauran-Namoda local government area of the state.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor described the fire incident as devastating and heartbreaking. The fire, which occurred on Tuesday at Makarantar Mallam Ghali, claimed the lives of 17 students, leaving others injured.

Governor Lawal extended his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families, the school community, and the entire nation, as they mourn the loss of these young lives. He further prayed for Almighty Allah to provide strength and comfort to the grieving families and wished for a swift recovery for those injured in the tragic incident.

“As a responsible government, we will thoroughly investigate the causes of this fire and take necessary steps to ensure such a tragedy does not happen again,” the governor said. He also assured that the state government would provide all the necessary support and assistance to the victims’ families during this challenging time.

The governor’s statement highlights the commitment of his administration to ensure the safety of educational institutions and prevent similar incidents in the future.
